3:11 CHRISTMAS

One cold Christmas Eve, we met a mother and her four young children. Their school counselor contacted us on the very last day before holiday break with a desperate plea for help with their case. It had been a hard year for them – an unfortunate life change left these children homeless, and their mom a single mother with no job and certainly no hope of gifts from Santa.

Because you stepped in to bless this family, their Christmas was merry. The children received new clothing, jackets and blankets to keep them warm, new shoes to last through the school year and so much more. Although they celebrated Christmas from their van in a parking lot, their little faces were glowing. Their giggles and the joy on their faces were immeasurable. You provided the gift of hope and love.

How it Works

The annual spreading of Christmas joy to children across Midland was the beginning of 3:11. Our 2024 Christmas project provided Christmas blessings for over 1,300 children in our community! 

Working with our local schools, each year we collect the Wish Lists of hundreds of children from qualified families in our community. The Wish Lists are then posted online to be sponsored by individuals/groups in the community who want to help out, but just don't know where to start! Sponsors may choose to do the shopping themselves for a family, or else simply financially sponsor them and let 3:11 staff/volunteers do the shopping. Every child is provided with new clothing, shoes, and of course, toys! We work hard all November and into December to ready and organize the gifts for every family. Then, one merry day in mid-December, families come through and pick up their gifts!
